Description
This is the original Crown Ducal Indian Tree pattern on rare antique/vintage double-handled soup bowls. Ribbed exterior with smooth interior. Highly glazed with precise, exotic interior and exterior geometric borders as well as a kaleidoscope of pinks, greens, brown, and more shades encircling the central Indian Tree on a background of ivory. These pieces are quite old, some have light crazing most evident on the base circle around the “Made in England” stamp.
Rare to find 6 double-handled antique bowls together without breaks, chips, repairs. Gold painted highlights on handles are bright and shiny. These bowls blend exotic patterns from the East with functional elegance from the West.
NOTE
: Last pic shows formal stamp from the fruit bowls — this would be the same for these soup bowls were they to have the longer Crown Ducal mark.
